What are affiliate links, and why do I use them?

I wanted to give you a heads up that I do use affiliate links on No Fixed Home.
What is an affiliate link? An affiliate link is a link on a website that refers to a product or service, and if a customer makes a purchase, a referral commission is given.
I only recommend things that I personally stand behind and have used.
I may include affiliate links to products, services, and hotels that I recommend. Being an affiliate helps me to earn money to continue to provide helpful travel tips, and to continue on my travels.
